Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to a significant reduction in negative geotaxis-mediated activity at young age (with no further effects at older ages) compared to controls. It does not lead to any changes in life span of adults; in EJC amplitudes (spontaneous or evoked), quantal content, number of releasable quanta, paired-pulse ratios or spontaneous EJC (mEJC) frequencies in third instar larval neuromuscular junctions (NMJs); or third instar larval crawling distances compared to controls.

Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to increased mortality in adults under continual heat stress-challenged conditions compared to controls.

Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to a drastic and significant decline in evoked EJC amplitudes of third instar larval NMJs, 24 hours after a 1 hour of heat shock challenge compared to controls. This physiological response is not due to changes in mEJC amplitudes but rather due to a significantly reduced quantal content and significantly reduced vesicle pool size.

Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to significant changes in sleep: an increase in sleep bout length and a decrease in sleep bout number during day time; a decrease in sleep bout length and an increase in sleep bout number during night time compared to control adults. And it leads to a significant decrease in the night but not day time activity of adults as compared to controls.

Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on male wing size or patterning.

Expression of cncKK101639 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on female wing size or patterning.

Expression of cncKK101639 in C-I neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in ddaE neurons that have an increased number of dendritic branches compared to controls. The total dendritic length is reduced in ddaD and vpda neurons.

Expression of cncKK101639 in C-IV neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in a reduction in total dendritic length in ddaC and v'ada neurons. The total number of dendritic branches is also reduced in ddaC neurons.
