UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The continual expression of Bap60KK101859 under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 blocks the normal inflammatory response to both Gram-positive (assessed by the expression levels of Drosomycin) and Gram-negative (assessed by the expression levels of Diptericin) bacterial infection, while leading to a mild but ectopic inflammatory response in basal (non-infected) conditions, as compared to controls; adulthood-only expression (temporally regulated by Gal80[ts]) blocks the normal inflammatory response to Gram-negative bacterial infection while mildly enhancing the inflammatory response to Gram-positive bacterial infection, but has no effect under basal, non-infected conditions, as compared to controls.
