Expressing ZnT63CKK102261 under the control of Scer\GAL4fkh.PH does not significantly affect the clearing of salivary gland tissue in pupae, as compared to controls.

The expression of ZnT63CKK102261 under the control of Scer\GAL4CG10962-NP1093 leads to a significant increase in the eclosion rate of animals reared in food supplemented with zinc at 5mM and above (but not at 2mM and below), but not of animals reared in normal food or food supplemented with a zinc chelator, as compared to wild-type controls.

The co-expression of ZnT63CKK102261 does not suppress the decreased eclosion rate exhibited by animals expressing Zip71BGD2461 under the control of Scer\GAL4CG10962-NP1093 reared in zinc-supplemented food; under normal diet conditions, the co-expression of Zip71BGD2461 and ZnT63CKK102261 under the control of Scer\GAL4CG10962-NP1093 has no significant effect on the eclosion rate, as compared to animals only expressing either Zip71BGD2461 or ZnT63CKK102261 under the control of Scer\GAL4CG10962-NP1093.

The formation of Malpighian tubule stones in third instar larvae induced by the expression of ryHMS02827 under the control of Scer\GAL4CG10962-NP1093 is not suppressed by the co-expression of ZnT63CKK102261.

Expression of ZnT63CKK102261 suppresses the malpighian tubule concretions seen when ryGD8894 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU. The reduced lifespan is also partially suppressed.

The adult eye phenotype seen upon expression of ZnT86DScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long can be partially modified by co-expression of ZnT63CKK102261 RNAi: the morphological defects are unchanged but the pigmentation loss is strongly worsened.

The morphological and pigmentation defects in the adult eye seen upon expression of ZnT86DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long are mildly ameliorated by co-expression of ZnT63CKK102261 RNAi.

The morphological defects in the adult eye seen upon expression of Zip71BScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long are severely exacerbated by co-expression of ZnT63CKK102261 RNAi; the effect on pigmentation loss is not assessable as the eyes are almost completely lost.
