Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ does not lead to a significant difference in survival as compared to controls when larvae are infected with the nematode Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and its associated bacterium Photorhabdus luminescens.

Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PU (in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency) results in enhanced memory after conditioning in an olfactory conditioning assay, even though these flies exhibit slightly impaired performance shortly after conditioning when trained with a small number of shock pulses, as compared to controls. The same enhanced memory phenotype is observed upon the addition of a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to adulthood. These flies do not exhibit any significant differences in olfactory or electric shock avoidance, and shock intensity does not affect performance, as compared to controls. Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PU also results in improved memory performance in a cold-shock assay for anesthesia-resistant memory, and differing performance in repeated olfactory conditioning assays wherein the odor/stimulus associations are switched, as compared to controls.

Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF, Scer\GAL4c747, Scer\GAL4238Y, Scer\GAL4GMR13F02, Scer\GAL4Mef2.247, Scer\GAL4c739, or Scer\GAL41471, but not under the control of Scer\GAL4VT064246, Scer\GAL4NP2492, Scer\GAL4GH146, Scer\GAL4Mz604, Scer\GAL4c305a, Scer\GAL4Orco.2.642.Hsim\VP22, Scer\GAL4c061, Scer\GAL4NP2631, Scer\GAL4kra-krasavietz, Scer\GAL4G0431, or Scer\GAL4NP5272, enhances memory after conditioning in an olfactory conditioning assay.

Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF reduces the spontaneous activity in dopaminergic neuron processes projecting to the α/α' tip and MV1 regions, but not the V1 or aimpr regions, visualized using functional imaging, as compared to controls. These flies do not exhibit any significant alterations in sleep/wake cycles.

Expression of scribKK106065 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR13F02 significantly increases the spontaneous activity of dopaminergic neuron processes projecting to the MV1 region, but not the α/α' tip or V1 or aimpr regions, visualized using functional imaging, as compared to controls. These flies do not exhibit any significant alterations in sleep/wake cycles.
