UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Adult males expressing fipiKK107002 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI show significant decrease in the duration of interpulse interval during their courtship song as well as reduced number of pulse trains per 100s, whereas the pulse train duration is comparable to controls. A significant decrease in the duration of the interpulse interval is also observed if fipiKK107002 is driven by Scer\GAL4ChAT.7.4, Scer\GAL4Snmp1.5.412.Hsim\VP22, Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, Scer\GAL4Or67d.PF or Scer\GAL4Ir84a-GAL4 but not with any of the following drivers: Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL, Scer\GAL4nompC.PP, Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 and Scer\GAL4Or47b.7.467.
Expression of CG15630KK107002 in glia using Scer\GAL4repo has no significant effect on courtship song patterns, however, it results in reduced run frequency compared with controls.
Expression of CG15630KK107002 in adult flies using Scer\GAL4ER156 (plus estrogen) results in deviations of both locomotor and courtship song parameters: increasing the run duration and decreasing run frequency and courtship song interpulse interval.
