Expressing CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU results in complete loss of eye disc field (with no effect on antennal field) in third instar larvae which, in turn, leads to the complete absence of head structures (but normal thorax and abdomen) in pharate adults.

Expressing CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in reduced cell proliferation and an almost complete loss of the wing disc posterior compartment, while expression under the control of either Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 or Scer\GAL4nub.PU results in severely malformed wings.

Expressing CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU leads to increased cell death in the wing pouch, a narrower anterior-posterior compartment boundary of the wing disc and greatly reduced salivary glands in third instar larvae compared to controls. In adults, the number and size of cells in the wing blade domain between L3 and L4 veins and the overall domain size are significantly reduced compared to wild-type controls.

Expressing CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU fails to induce cell death in the posterior compartment of the eye disc in third instar larvae, and results in adults with normal eyes.

The expression of CCT4KK108551 under the control of either Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 or Scer\GAL4HCH.Hand leads to a severe decrease in lifespan and leads to a severe decrease in lifespan and leads to a severe decrease in lifespan and leads to near or fully penetrant cardiac defects, respectively, namely morphological defects, non-beating heart segments and non-beating hearts, as compared to controls.

The expression of CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 also leads to progressive cardiac dysfunction, as shown by significant increases in heart period, arrhythmia, and diastolic and systolic intervals, and by significant decreases in fractional shortening, and diastolic and systolic diameter, as compared to controls. These hearts show a severe and progressive disorganization in the actin- and myosin-containing myofibrils, as compared to controls.

The expression of CCT4KK108551 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to the neuromuscular junctions of third instar larval muscles 6/7 exhibiting clustering and decreased number of terminal boutons, as compared to controls.
