Detailed Description

Third instar larvae expressing Mmp1KK108894 under the control of Scer\GAL4repo do not show major changes in brain size or brain glial network, and do not show changes in the number of synapses at the neuromuscular junction.

Knockdown of Mmp1KK108894 driven by Scer\GAL4Act.PU during adulthood (using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) does not cause a reduction in egg laying compared to wild type.

Down-regulation of Mmp1 in fat bodies, through the expression of Mmp1KK108894 under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH, results in a significant delay in fat body cell dissociation during metamorphosis.

Genetic Interactions

Expression of Mmp1KK108894 in loser cell clones that are confronted with MycαTub84B.PBb-expressing super-competitors does not alter the number/size of loser cell clones, nor does it significantly affect hemocyte number per wing disc.

Simultaneous down-regulation of Mmp1 and Mmp2 in the fat body during metamorphosis, through expression of Mmp2KK104713 and Mmp1KK108894 under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH results in a more significant delay than reducing the expression of either Mmp1 or Mmp2 alone.
