Expressing zfh1KK109931 under the control of Scer\GAL41151 induces the precocious formation of small muscle fibers in the imaginal disc (as shown by ectopic expression of a MHC reporter), as compared to controls.

zfh1KK109931 expression only during adulthood under the combined control of Scer\GAL4GMR35H09 and Gal80[ts] leads to 10-days old adults showing significantly fewer nuclei per indirect flight muscle and a third of them presenting held-out wings, as compared to controls.

Female flies expressing zfh1KK109931 under the control of either Scer\GAL4tj.PU or Scer\GAL4bab1-Pgal4-2 display severe defects in ovary morphology - the flies either completely lack reproductive tissue (100% of flies with the Scer\GAL4tj.PU driver, around 70% with the Scer\GAL4bab1-Pgal4-2) or show gross deformities (with the Scer\GAL4bab1-Pgal4-2 driver): either a single, large mass of tissue in place of ovaries or free-floating egg chambers without a visible ovary.

Scer\GAL4elav.PLu-driven expression results in sleep defects in both adult males and females.

Expression of zfh1KK109931 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on male wing size or patterning.

Expression of zfh1KK109931 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on female wing size or patterning.
