Expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] under the control of Scer\GAL4[sn.PZ] rescues the macrophage migration defects seen in sn mutant stage 15 embryos. The reduction in the number of actin rich filopodia and microspikes within the lamellae of sn mutant macrophages is also rescued. Expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] under the control of Scer\GAL4[nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16] rescues the female sterility and actin bundle formation defects seen in sn mutant nurse cells. Expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] under the control of Scer\GAL4[sn.PZ] rescues the macrophage migration defects seen in Df(1)C128 mutant stage 15 embryos.
Scer\GAL4[srp.Hemo]-driven expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] restores the polarity and the dynamic leading edge cortex that is normally lacking in plasmatocytes in Df(1)C128 embryos. Normal developmental migration of plasmatocytes is also restored. Scer\GAL4[srp.Hemo]-driven expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] provides significant rescue of the reduced plasmatocyte recruitment seen in sn[X2] embryos after laser-induced wounding. Scer\GAL4[nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16]-driven expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] fully restores the formation of actin bundles around nurse cell nuclei that is normally lacking in sn mutants. Female ferility is also restored. Scer\GAL4[hs.PB]-driven expression of sn[Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] fully rescues the gnarled bristle phenotype exhibited by sn mutants.
