Expressing Cdk1JF03004 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 and Scer\GAL4SPARC-MI00329-GAL4 induces an increase in ploidy in the wing disc posterior compartment and in hemocytes, respectively; hemocytes also show concentration of growing microtubules around the nucleus, with a preference of those microtubules to grow parallel to the nuclear surface instead of perpendicularly outward like in controls.

Expression of Cdk1JF03004 under the control of Scer\GAL4mirr-DE attenuates larval eye disc growth.

Expression of Cdk1JF03004 under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c does not alter the number of nuclei in the central syncytium that forms around a puncture wound in the epidermis of third instar larvae, nor does it induce syncytia formation in unwounded epithelium.

Expression of cdc2JF03004 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA triggers G2 arrest in neuroblasts in third instar larval brains (as indicated by the enlargement of neuroblasts and reduction in mitosis), but does not induce neuroblast loss.

Expression of cdc2JF03004 under the control of Scer\GAL4c768 results defects in maintenance of the neuroepithelium cells in the developing optic lobe and premature neuroblast formation. There is an increase in mitotic neuroepithelium cells and a reduction in BrdU incorporation compared to wild type.
