Expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] produces enlarged and irregular eyes. Wing disc clones expressing yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Scer\FRT.Act5C] induce mild growth enhancement.
Expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] results in an increase in the size of the eye and the eye is mostly flat. Expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] under the control of Scer\GAL4[sd-SG29.1] results in low viability and distorted wings. Clones in the wing disc expressing yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] are rounder than normal.

Expression of Mad[Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG] enhances the eye overgrowth seen when yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF]. Expression of tkv[Q253D.Scer\UAS.cNc] enhances the eye overgrowth seen when yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF]. Expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] enhances the overgrowth seen in wing disc clones expressing Mad[Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG] and tkv[Q253D.Scer\UAS.cNc] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Scer\FRT.Act5C]. The phenotype seen in stronger than is seen when yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] is expressed alone.
Co-expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5] and hpo[Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] results in flies with small eyes. Co-expression of yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5], wts[Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC] and hpo[Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] results in flies with very small eyes. Clones in the wing disc co-expressing yki[S111A.S250A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5], wts[Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC] and hpo[Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] do not survive well.
