ykiS168A.UAS.Tag:V5 expression driven by Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 does not result in obvious signs of quiescence in the larval brain, as neuroblasts show the expected rounded morphology and do not show changes in cell division (both DNA replication/EdU staining and Mitosis/phospho-H3), as compared to controls.
Expressing ykiS168A.UAS.Tag:V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 stimulates severe tissue overgrowth in the wing and eye discs and results in a significant expansion of the anterior-posterior compartment boundary of the wing disc in third instar larvae.
Third instar larvae expressing ykiS168A.UAS.Tag:V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU, Scer\GAL446F or Scer\GAL4Gli.PU exhibit bulges along peripheral nerves, which contain increased nuclei numbers respectively from glial, perineurial glial and subperineurial glial cells, as compared to controls.
