Statement
Reference
Recombination between the two progenitor insertions has resulted in a 4375bp deletion that removes the C-terminal coding region of sd. The protein produced is truncated and contains amino acid residues 1-168.

Statement
Reference
sd[1]/sd[ΔB] flies have rudimentary wings. Early-induced homozygous clones do not survive to the late third instar in the wing pouch region, but do survive in the notal region of wing discs as well as in eye discs. Late-induced homozygous clones are recovered in the late third instar in the wing pouch region.

Reference
The eye overgrowth phenotype caused by clones expressing yki[M123.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC] under the control of Scer\GAL4[tub] is suppressed if the clones are also homozygous for sd[ΔB].
