Expression of mir-184Scer\UAS.cIa under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 strongly rescues the sterility of mir-184Δ females; egg production approaches normal levels and almost all eggs and embryos appear morphologically normal.

Substantial rescue of egg production, but not egg morphology, is seen in mir-184Δ females carrying mir-184Scer\UAS.cIa in the absence of a Scer\GAL4 driver.
