Detailed Description
	Statement Reference Flies carrying Zzzz\CAG[Q92.GMR.T:Zzzz\FLAG] show eye degeneration phenotypes, including loss of pigment and rough eyes. Inclusion bodies are seen in the region posterior to the morphogenetic furrow in the eye disc. (Tue et al., 2012) Flies carrying Zzzz\CAG[Q92.GMR.T:Zzzz\FLAG] show degeneration of the eye. (Koike et al., 2010) Expression of Zzzz\CAG[Q92.GMR.T:Zzzz\FLAG] induces eye degeneration. (Manno et al., 2010) Flies carrying Zzzz\CAG[Q92.GMR.T:Zzzz\FLAG] have a rough eye phenotype, and reduced pigmentation in the eye. The internal structure of the compound eye is severely disrupted, with most eye cells being shrunken or flattened. (Higashiyama et al., 2002)

The formation of inclusion bodies in the eye disc is also suppressed in these animals. (Tue et al., 2012) Expression of Mmmm\VCP[Scer\UAS.cKa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PS] suppresses the eye degeneration caused by Zzzz\CAG[Q92.GMR.T:Zzzz\FLAG].
