Statement Reference Targeted expression of NT1[IR.pro.Scer\UAS] in the CNS midline (under the control of Scer\GAL4[sim.PS]) in a NT1[41.Δ.w] heterozygous background results in a significant increase in apoptosis throughout the CNS cortex compared to controls at embryonic stage 17.
Targeted expression of NT1[IR.pro.Scer\UAS] in all the neurons (under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav-C155]) does not significantly affect axon guidance, whereas expression in the muscle (under the control of Scer\GAL4[how-24B]) significantly alters axon guidance and routing. Targeted expression of NT1[dsRNA.pro.Scer\UAS] in the CNS midline (under the control of Scer\GAL4[sim.PS]) in a NT1[41] heterozygous background results in a significant increase in apoptosis throughout the CNS cortex compared to controls at embryonic stage 17.
