Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Overexpression of Flo-2[Scer\UAS.cHa] and Flo[Scer\UAS.cHa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[MZ1369] results in compound phenotypic defects including abnormal eyes, ocelli, bristles and wings. Wings exhibit a highly variable but severe mutant phenotype, including blisteriing and melanotic cells. Mutant eye discs display a variable number of cone cells andprimary pigment cells per ommatidium, errors in number and positioning of the bristle complexes and mild cell sorting defects. The type of defects caused by Scer\GAL4[MZ1369]-driven misexpression of Flo-2[Scer\UAS.cHa] alone or in tandem with Flo[Scer\UAS.cHa] are largely indistinguishable, although flies overexpressing both proteins display a tendency towards more pronounced defects.
