What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference Ubiquitous expression of CTCF[Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] in a wild-type background with the drivers Scer\GAL4[αTub84B.PL] or Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] results in early embryonic lethality. | |||

Complementation & Rescue Data
| |||
| Comments | A single heat shock (37[o]C) for 20 mins at 24, 48, or 72 hours into development is sufficient to phenotypically rescue the majority of flies with a CTCF[P30.6]/Df(3L)0463 or CTCF[GE24185]/Df(3L)0463 background when CTCF[Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] and Scer\GAL4[hs.PB] are present. Both sexes are fertile. A few flies exhibit a very mild held-out wing phenotype and some have a disorganized bristle pattern on the dorsal abdomen. Heat shock at the pupal stage could not rescue all the mutant phenotypes. | ||
