Statement Reference In GluRIIA[SP16] mutant third instar larvae that also carry the precise excision allele Exn[EY-5], the spontaneous miniature release amplitude (mepsp) is significantly decreased, as measured at the neuromuscular junctions. The decreased mepsp amplitude is partially offset by a homeostatic increase in presynaptic release (quantal content). These phenotypes, as expected for a revertant, appear identical to the GluRIIA[SP16] single mutant phenotypes. (Frank et al., 2009)
