      Expression of tobiScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev starting at later stages of larval development results in severe growth defects, with the larvae being much smaller than controls. The mutant animals have reduced levels of body glycogen.

      Adults expressing tobiScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4fkh.XB30 have a decreased lifespan compared to controls.
