Expression of As^Scer\UAS.cLa by Scer\GAL4^{mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16} leads to a lethal phenotype at embryonic and early larval stages.

The expression of As^Scer\UAS.cLa by Scer\GAL4^elav-C155 (on the X chromosome) causes male lethality.

Expression of As^Scer\UAS.cLa in the wing discs by Scer\GAL4^vg.PM causes dramatic loss of wing margins.

Expression of As^Scer\UAS.cLa in the eye by Scer\GAL4^GMR.PF causes a rough-eye phenotype and a significant disorganization of ommatidia in 1-day old flies and degeneration of photoreceptors that worsens over time.

Expression of As^Scer\UAS.cLa in a subset of DA sensory neurons using Scer\GAL4²²¹ decreases dendritic branching of ddaE and ddaF neurons.
