Expression of SuUR[669-962.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1,T:Uuuu\nls6] under the control of Scer\GAL4[AB1] has no effect on the size of the salivary glands. However, the polytene chromosomes show general disorganisation and numerous ectopic fibres along the chromosome arms are seen linking the chromosome arms. Expression of SuUR[669-962.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1,T:Uuuu\nls6] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Sgs3.PD] does not result in any changes in salivary gland polytene chromosome morphology.
