Expressing CycEJF02473 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA leads to adipocytes exhibiting reduced perinuclear microtubule concentration and decreased ploidy, without preventing differentiation, as they are still full of lipid droplets. Decreased ploidy is also observed upon conditional expression from L2 onwards (temporal control of expression using Gal80[ts]).

The expression of CycEJF02473 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) leads to a significant decrease in wing size, as compared to controls.

Expression of CycEJF02473 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU (restricted to 16 hours prior the third instar larval stage onwards using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) has no effect on wing disc cell size.

Expression of CycEJF02473 under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv results in wing notching.

Scer\GAL4en-e16E-mediated expression results in a strong reduction in size of the posterior compartment of the adult wing.

Expression of CycEJF02473 under the control of Scer\GAL4c768 results defects in maintenance of the neuroepithelium cells in the developing optic lobe and premature neuroblast formation.
