The late-onset eye defects (i.e. disorganized ommatidia and tissue dissociation associated with the appearance of vacuoles) induced by the Scer\GAL4ninaE.PT-driven expression are also mildly improved by the co-expression of Kap-α3JF02686.
The decreased adult locomotion and the decreased lifespan induced by the adulthood-only expression of Hsap\ATXN370Q.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO and RU-486 treatment are respectively fully and partially suppressed by the co-expression of Kap-α3JF02686.
Co-expression of Kap-α3JF02686 suppresses the progressive retinal degeneration seen in fly eyes with Hsap\CACNA1AScer\UAS.αACT.Q70 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.
