Third instar larvae expressing CG30382JF02711 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 display hyposensitive behavioral response (lengthened latency till response to 46[o]C thermal probe stimulus) in a thermal nociception assay. CG30382JF02711 RNAi expression also leads to significantly decreased dendrite coverage in the ddaC dorsal multidendritic neurons compared to controls.
