Locomotor activity is 34% lower than controls in flies expressing Atf-2Scer\UAS.cSa with Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, and these flies sleep more than controls under light/dark (692 minutes/day compared to 563), or dark/dark conditions. Sleep rebound, following 12 hours of sleep deprivation, is higher in these flies than controls, and these animals were found to have a higher arousal threshold than controls.
