Overexpression of Mmus\Cplx3[Scer\UAS.cXa] using Scer\GAL4[elav-C155] or Scer\GAL4[n-syb.PS] increases miniature excitatory junction potential (mEJP) frequency, increases evoked EJP amplitude, and increases the quantal content of evoked release at the larval neuromuscular junction.

Expression of Mmus\Cplx3[Scer\UAS.cXa] using Scer\GAL4[elav-C155] rescues the lethality and sterility of cpx[SH1] mutants. Expression of Mmus\Cplx3[Scer\UAS.cXa] using Scer\GAL4[elav-C155] rescues the decreased evoked excitatory junction potentials (EJPs) and partially suppresses the increased spontaneous EJPs in cpx[SH1] mutants.
