Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

No synaptic morphological defects are observed in the VA1v ORNs in adult flies expressing Srpk79DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus under the control of Scer\GAL4peb-GAL4 and these flies do not display any defects in the olfactory attraction behavior toward attractive odorant (apple cider vinegar) in a trap assay.

Overexpression of Scer\GAL4elav-C155-driven srpk79DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus impairs synapse function in larvae. Excitatory postsynaptic potential amplitude is decreased in the mutants compared to wild-type larvae. Compared to wild-type larvae, there is a trend toward an increase in the average amplitude of spontaneous miniature events and the quantal content is perturbed in the mutants.

The loss of olfactory attraction behavior in response to an attractive odorant (apple cider vinegar) in adult flies expressing Lrp4GD14320 under the control of Scer\GAL4peb-GAL4 is ameliorated by co-expression of Srpk79DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus.
