Over-expression of Rca1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU in the eye results in a rough eye phenotype. Ectopic cell division is observed in the eye disc, posterior to the morphogenetic furrow.

Over-expression of Rca1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.T:Zzzz\FLAG in the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI increases the rate at which cells progress through the cell cycle from G1 to S-phase. Cell size is normal.

Expression of Rca1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4prd.RG1 in a Rca12 mutant background restores embryonic cell numbers to wild-type levels in Scer\GAL4prd.RG1-expressing segments.

Expression of Rca1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4tub in Rca12 mutant wing disc clones suppresses the proliferation disadvantage observed in Rca12 mutant tissue, and clones are similar in size to wild-type. No endoreplication is observed in these cells and nuclear size is comparable to wild-type cells.
