Flies expressing sNPF-RScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4sNPF-R.2.5 show significantly increased food consumption compared to controls.

Expression of sNPF-RScer\UAS.cLa using Scer\GAL4MJ94 has little effect on size.

Expression of sNPF-RScer\UAS.cLa using Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR increases body size by 10%.

The increase in food consumption compared to controls seen in adults expressing sNPF-RScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4sNPF-R.2.5 is suppressed by co-expression of either GαsScer\UAS.cCa, Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS, CrebBCbz.Scer\UAS or mnbGD13197.

Co-expression of sNPF-RScer\UAS.cLa does not significantly affect the reduction in body size seen in Ilp1GD2398, Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR or Ilp2GD15756, Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR animals.
