Comments	The mutant eye phenotype seen in mosaic animals in which the eye-antennal disc is almost completely homozygous for Stat92E[85C9] is completely rescued by Stat92E[ΔC.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1] expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[ey.PH]. The mutant eye phenotype seen in mosaic animals in which the eye-antennal disc is almost completely homozygous for Stat92E[397] is rescued by Stat92E[ΔC.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1] expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[ey.PH]. Expression of Stat92E[ΔC.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1] under the control of Scer\GAL4[tub.PU] significantly delays the lethal phase of Stat92E[85C9] homozygotes, such that most of the animals die as third instar larvae or early pupae.
