Statement Reference Simultaneous co-expression of cal1[Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] and cid[Scer\UAS.cJa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16] results in mitotic defects in embryos at mitosis 16. Simultaneous co-expression of cal1[Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP], cid[Scer\UAS.cJa] and Cenp-C[Scer\UAS.cHa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16] results in strong mitotic defects in embryos at mitosis 16. The most prominent defects are abnormal anaphase and telophase figures with chromatin bridges containing lagging centromeres. (Schittenhelm et al., 2010)
