Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Some zygotic Gale[Δy]/Gale[f00624] animals die as embryos, whereas others survive to first-second larval instar stages. Surviving L1 and L2 larvae are abnormally small and lethargic. Gale[Δy]/Gale[f00624] zygotic animals derived from Gale[f00624] germline clones die uniformly in late embryogenesis displaying no morphological defects.

Expression of Hsap\GALE[Scer\UAS.cSa] using either Scer\GAL4[arm.PS] or Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] rescues the lethality of Gale[Δy]/Gale[f00624] animals. Rescued animals are viable, fertile, and appear morphologically normal. Expression of Hsap\GALE[Scer\UAS.cSa] using Scer\GAL4[drm.7.1] partially rescues the lethality of Gale[Δy]/Gale[f00624] animals, whereas use of Scer\GAL4[elav-C155] or Scer\GAL4[c754] is completely insufficient to rescue or delay lethality of this genotype.
