Expression of Sin3AHMS00359 results in: small and rough eye phenotype (with the Scer\GAL4GMR.PF driver), incomplete L5 vein, occasional ectopic venation at posterior crossvein and occasional notched wing (with Scer\GAL4nub.PK). Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI-driven expression is lethal; no overt adult phenotype is observed with either Scer\GAL4GMR.PF or Scer\GAL4nub.PK.

The adult eye phenotype induced by expression of Sin3AHMS00359 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH is suppressed by co-expression of httGD14943 or by combination with a single copy of httint, the wing phenotype observed with the Scer\GAL4en.PU driver is also suppressed by combination with httint, while the co-expression of httGD14943 suppresses the L5 wing vein defect but enhances the ectopic posterior crossvein phenotype.
