Sense-antisense transcription (driven by two convergent arrays of UAS sequence) of a 2934 bp fragment corresponding to 1146 bp upstream of the Mst36Fb transcription start site and the first 1788 bp of Mst36Fb coding sequence results in double stranded RNA (dsRNA) expression.

The presence of two copies of Scer\GAL4nos.PG increases penetrance, with a 50% reduction in male fertility.
