Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] neuronally under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav.Switch.PO] at 25[o]C results in early death. Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] neuronally under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav-C155] at 25[o]C results in pupal lethality (with a few rare escapers). Glial expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] in the developing nervous system under the control of Scer\GAL4[repo] at 25[o]C does not generate a phenotype. Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] in developing muscle cells under the control of Scer\GAL4[how-24B] at 25[o]C does not generate a phenotype. Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] in the developing eye under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] at 25[o]C does not generate a phenotype. Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] in the developing eye under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PF] at 29[o]C does not generate a phenotype. Expression of Hsap\TARDBP[mutNES.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav.Switch.PO] (in a RU486 background) greatly reduces adult fly longevity (though not as much as expression of the wild-type form).
