Expression of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS in the hindgut under the control of Scer\GAL4byn.n2 results in a substantial reduction in ovarian size, which is accompanied by apoptotic egg chambers, loss of mature eggs, and reduced fertility. Hindgut driven ImpL2s.Scer\UAS-expression also reduces fat body size and induces lipid droplet enlargement.

Overexpression of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.Switch.PT significantly extends the lifespan compared to control flies.

Ubiquitous overexpression of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI leads to lethality.

Ubiquitous overexpression of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS leads to lethality.

Overexpression of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a strong reduction of eye size. The body weight of ImpL2s.Scer\UAS-overexpressing flies is reduced compared with controls. The development of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF-driven ImpL2s.Scer\UAS-overexpressing males is delayed by one day.

Driving ImpL2s.Scer\UAS by Scer\GAL4ppl.PP results in lethality.

ImpL2s.Scer\UAS completely reverses the eye overgrowth resulting from the overexpression of InRScer\UAS.cHa driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of Ilp2Scer\UAS.cBa with ImpL2s.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PP suppresses the lethality caused by the overexpression of the individual Ilp2Scer\UAS.cBa or ImpL2s.Scer\UAS transgenes.
