Embryos expressing grimUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4tup.AME exhibit gonads with similar number of niche aggregates as controls.

Inducing cell death in somatic clones of terminal tracheal cells by expressing grimUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PU results in blebbing of the cytoplasm, loss of gass-filling and branch loss in third instar larvae.

Expression of grimScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4sev.EP results in a rough eye phenotype with disruption of ommatidial arrangement.

When grimScer\UAS.cUa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at 18[o]C only 0.01% of pupae eclose. Eye size is reduced compared to controls.

Expression of grimScer\UAS.cUa under the control Scer\GAL4c42 results in lethality during embryonic and first instar larval stages.
