Inhibition (using shi1.UAS at 31[o]C) of Scer\GAL4GMR71G01 cells, or the combined set of Scer\GAL4GMR71G01 and Scer\GAL4NPF.1 cells, in adult males does not affect courtship towards females or males, compared to controls.

Thermogenetic activation (using TrpA1UAS.(B).cKa at 29[o]C) of Scer\GAL4GMR71G01 cells in adult males significantly increases aggressive lunging behavior and wing extensions towards other males, compared to controls.

Thermogenetic activation (using TrpA1FRT.stop.UAS.Tag:MYC at 29[o]C) of a Scer\FLP1fru-expressing subset of Scer\GAL4GMR71G01 cells in adult males significantly increases aggressive lunging behavior, but not wing extensions, towards other males, compared to controls.

Inhibition of neural activity in Scer\GAL4GMR71G01-expressing neurons results in courtship defects.
