Inhibition (using Ctet\TeTxLC[TNT.UAS]) of Scer\GAL4GMR61D08 neurons in larvae significantly reduces navigation away from higher wind speeds, compared to controls, with no effect on movement speed in the absence of wind stimuli; there is no effect on the probability of head turns downwind or acceptance rates of head sweeps away from versus towards the wind, compared to controls.

Inhibition (using Ctet\TeTxLC[TNT.UAS]) of the combined set of Scer\GAL4GMR61D08 and Scer\GAL419-12 neurons in larvae significantly reduces navigation away from higher wind speeds, compared to controls; this effect is slightly greater than that of inhibiting Scer\GAL4GMR61D08 neurons alone; there is also a significant reduction in the probability of head turns downwind and acceptance rates of head sweeps away from versus towards the wind, compared to controls and compared to Scer\GAL419-12 neurons alone.

Inhibition (using shits.FRT.stop.UAS at 30[o]C) of Scer\GAL4GMR61D08 neurons that also express Scer\FLP1ey.PU in adult females significantly reduces receptivity to mating, compared to controls; in males, courtship pulse song-induced locomotion is significantly reduced, compared to controls.
