Animals containing clones in the eye (generated using the ey-FLP system) expressing EndoGIGScE6 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP show an increase in eye size compared to controls.
Expression of EndoGIGScE6 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a 25% increase in the size of the posterior wing. In addition, the majority of wing vein material is absent in the posterior part of the wing.
Clones of cells expressing EndoGIGScE6 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in the wing disc generally contain more cells than control clones (the cell size and cell cycle profile is normal).
