mir-263bΔ/mir-263bΔ and mir-263bΔ/mir-263bΔ-G4 adults show decreased circadian rhythmicity and circadian power under constant dark, as compared to wild-type and mir-263bΔ-G4 heterozygous controls. mir-263bΔ/mir-263bΔ and mir-263bΔ/mir-263bΔ-G4 adults also exhibit a lack of morning anticipation activity, as compared to wild-type controls.

mir-263bΔ/mir-263bΔ adults show disrupted circadian plasticity of sLNv dorsal projections: while controls exhibit more axon terminal branches at ZT2 than at ZT14 under light-dark cycles or dark conditions, mutants present similar number of axon terminal branches at (presumptive) ZT2 and ZT14, which are similar to ZT14 in controls.

The posterior midgut of 14 days old mir-263bΔ homozygotes displays a similar number of mitotic cells, as compared to controls.

mir-263bΔ/Df(3L)X-21.2 flies show a modest reduction in the number of interommatidial bristles.
