Expression of AktHMS00007 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E (in combination with Gal80[ts] to control the timing of expression) leads to increased cell death in third instar larval wing discs.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4eya.enh1+E+2 results in a small eye phenotype.

The expression of Akt1HMS00007 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.PG leads to germline degeneration in the germarium.

Adulthood-generated midgut clones expressing Akt1HMS00007 under the control of Scer\GAL4Tub.PU have significantly fewer cells, but an insignificant change in the proportion of intestinal stem cells, as compared to control clones.

Females heterozygous for Akt1HMS00007 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to Akt1HMS00007 males results in: no eggs; egg/embryonic phenotype: no vitellogenic egg chambers; oogenesis defect.

Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16-mediated expression of Akt1HMS00007 results in a block to oogenesis with females containing extremely small ovaries.

Statement
Reference

The co-expression of Akt1HMS00007 suppresses the increased midgut cell size resulting from the expression of Atg9HMS01246 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001.

Co-expression of Tsc1GL00012, but not Nprl2dsRNA.shRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T or Nprl3dsRNA.shRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T, rescues the small ovary phenotype resulting from Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16-mediated expression of Akt1HMS00007.

Co-expression of Akt1HMS00007 suppresses the increase in the number of type II neuroblasts which is seen in the central brain of animals expressing NScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5,T:Zzzz\His6 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407.

Expression of Akt1HMS00007 dramatically suppresses the dendrite pruning defects seen in ddaC neurons expressing lin19GD9650 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG at 16 hours after pupariation.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The eye degeneration phenotype characteristic for adult flies expressing Hsap\CHMP2BIntron5.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU is strongly enhanced by co-expression of Akt1HMS00007.
