Expression of IswiHMS00628 under the control of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in an agametic phenotype with small ovaries and defects in early oogenesis. If expression is restricted to adulthood by rearing flies at 18[o]C until adulthood and subsequently incubating adult females at 29[o]C for three days, the egg chambers display increased apoptosis and cell packaging defects, as compared with controls.

Expression of IswiHMS00628 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 or Scer\GAL4C587 does not result in any apparent phenotype, as compared with controls.

Expression of IswiHMS00628 under the control of Scer\GAL4tj.PU results in increased apoptosis in the egg chamber; cell packaging defects in the egg chamber including compound egg chambers, egg chambers with 3 or more oocytes in non-opposing positions, or egg chambers with abnormal cell numbers ranging from only one to eight cells with a decreased number of ring canals, observable in the germarium; gaps in the follicle cell epithelium; additional stalk-like structures; and yields a "dumpless" phenotype with short eggs, as compared with controls.

Expression of IswiHMS00628 results in: small rough eye phenotype (with Scer\GAL4ey.PH), occasional lack of anterior crossvein (with Scer\GAL4nub.PK), wing notches and occasional blisters at 25[o]C (with Scer\GAL4en.PU) - no phenotype at 18[o]C. Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI-driven expression is lethal; no overt adult phenotype is observed with the Scer\GAL4GMR.PF driver.

Expression of IswiHMS00628 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 does not result in any obvious wing phenotype.
