Expression of TorHMS00904 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 results in premature autophagy in the larval midgut and shortened gastric caeca at an early age, 4 hrs and 0 hrs before puparium formation, and decreased autophagy 2 hrs after puparium formation, but the gastric caeca size is not significantly different from controls at 4 hrs after puparium formation. Expression of TorHMS00904 under the control of Scer\GAL4cg.PU results in a lack of autophagic difference in the larval fat body between fed and starved flies as compared to controls.
Expression of TorHMS00904 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has no effect on bouton size.
Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR-mediated expression results in a significant reduction in the body weight of emerging adults compared to controls.
Females heterozygous for TorHMS00904 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to TorHMS00904 males results in: no eggs; egg/embryonic phenotype: no vitellogenic egg chambers; oogenesis defect.
