Third instar larvae expressing RhebHMS00923 under the control of Scer\GAL4AB1 show severely smaller salivary gland cells, as compared to controls.

Expression of RhebHMS00923 driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.Switch.PR (in males fed RU486 during adulthood, to avoid developmental effects) significantly extends lifespan compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4bs.PM-mediated expression of RhebHMS00923 results in decreased terminal cell branching and induction of long, branched autocellular, seamed tubes extend well beyond the terminal cell nucleus.
