The expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E leads to longer dendrites in the posterior dendrite region of third instar larval C4da neurons, but not in the anterior dendritic region or the overall dendrite length, as compared to controls.

Expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0022 leads to shorter and longer dendrites in the dorsal and ventral dendritic region, respectively, of larval C4da neurons, but does not affect the overall dendrite length, as compared to controls.

Upon clonal expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU, C4da neurons exhibit shorter dendrites mainly in regions covering mavUAS.cGa-expressing epithelial cells; the higher bigger the epithelial clone area, the higher the effect observed on dendrites covering non-expressing cells.

Expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4A58 leads to third instar larval C4da neurons exhibiting a less complex dendrite tree (i.e. significantly less dendritic coverage and significantly shorter dendrites), as compared to controls.

Down-regulation of mav in Pdf-positive neurons, through expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf induces strong locomotor arrhythmicity. Expression of mavHMS01125 under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE and suppressed in Pdf-positive cells through the presence of Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS results in some rescue of the arrhythmic phenotype.
