Expression of CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 increases total development time by 24 hours at 25[o]C. Adult escapers show a severe reduction in weight compared to controls. Mean cell size in the wing is reduced in these adults.

26% of adult male escapers expressing CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 have under-rotated genitalia.

Expression of CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa does not result in an eye defect.

Expression of CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in a significant decrease in the number of ommatidia in the eye compared to controls in both males (38% decrease) and females (32% decrease). The ommatidia of these animals are significantly smaller in size than those of their control siblings.

Expression of CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a marked decrease in the area of the posterior compartment of the wing disc, with the fraction of cells in the wing disc corresponding to posterior compartment cells being reduced compared to controls. Posterior compartment cells in these wing discs are smaller than anterior compartment cells.

Expression of CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in clones in the wing disc considerably slows down the cell cycle in these cells.

Cells in the wing disc expressing CycGScer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E show an overall increase in the length of the mitotic cell cycle, with the duration of the G[[1] and S phases being increased.
