Expression of MICU1KK101920, with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency, driven by Scer\GAL4Act.PU or Scer\GAL4tub.PU results in lethality before adulthood.

Expression of MICU1KK101920, with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency, driven by Scer\GAL4GMR13F02 impairs adult olfactory intermediate-term memory (but not olfactory avoidance, shock avoidance, learning, or immediate or long-term memory) as compared to controls; the impairment persists after either anesthesia-sensitive memory elimination by cold-shock treatment or 5-times massed training.

Expression of MICU1KK101920, with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency, driven by Scer\GAL4GMR13F02 and temporally-limited by Gal80[ts] to pre-adult developing stages, but not to adulthood, impairs adult olfactory intermediate-term memory in olfactory aversive tests (but not olfactory avoidance, shock avoidance or learning) as compared to controls.
