The expression of Npl4KK102533 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 induces significant locomotor defects in both larvae (lower distances traveled) and adults (progressive decrease in climbing behavior in negative geotaxis assays). Larval motor neuron axons and NMJs show microtubules defects (frequently lacking Futsch staining), and NMJs have significantly longer branches, as compared to controls; axons do not show any obvious ER defects.
